i don't think it works like that lol. you can't expect to put a cache that is 12 revisions ahead and expect it to magically work without any modifications to the code.

i don't see why not...? the release is open-source. java is java. newer versions of jdk/jre may or may not require some tweaking in terms of compatibility, but it shouldn't be any major issues overall.

if you actually looked in the project's files, you'll realize that there is a tool to unpack the sprites...

i have it, along with his "developer" version that includes anti-aliasing, the floating world map by ghost and some other client edits. both versions are shit, regardless of what is stated in trees' original thread because almost nothing was "fixed". some of the pre-existing interfaces are bugged af because the overlapping of the new ones. i wouldn't recommend the buy, nor the release tbh.
