To be honest a small player base is not what you need, your best bet is to do something like i did and create a realistic ai bot system where it seems like they are players that are doing a bit of everything (pking, skilling, questing, and merching.) and use that as a boost to recieve more players. Remember one thing nobody wants to farm days to get rich on a server that never excels more then 10 players.

They are preparing for huge updates, they want to excel the game further then what it is. problem with trying to remake this type of revision is due to the constant updates which = constant bugs.

i remember there was a thread on rune-server discussing a topic similar to what you just mentioned.
It just is not the same anymore, rune-scape in general is starting to die. even the popular servers are low now a days.
To top it all off you gave 2 terrible similar bases with the most content, but both have gamebreaking flaws in it also, perception is a terrible base due to the game engine/actions. and os-pvp is terrible due to the fact it has memory leaks followed by half assed else if statements and terrible ripped code from more then 1 person. it has been passed through atleast 4 different development teams and none of them succeeded.

In all honesty all i am getting from this is you saying your team is very novice and you are looking for a ready to host server that you can change a couple things and say you created it.. i have to tell you a couple of things, os-pvp is a terrible base to start from back when it was released it was good because it was one of a kind. Now there are to many replica's and leeches of it to make it matter. 2. Osrs is a waste of time/money there is to many competing to create an os server its stupid to waste money on creating this. seeing how why would someone recrreate something that is still very active? the reason rsps made a scene at all is the gamebreaking changes done to runescape prior to rs3. (Free trade being disabled, Wilderness disabled. etc.) you should take a good base such as hyperion or apollo and create a game that is similar but stands out and has good content not r-s leeched snippets and tutorials.

This was more of a post to join a team rather then start one, i am working on a project myself was looking to expand my projects further beyond and accomplish more quicker then what my project is going at. I personally will not touch this crap that's (Old-school) because 1 its terrible looking, feeling, and also its not even truly old-school its just the game-frame change (keep in mind this is my opinion) i messed with them i just am not into it, there is to many coming out as it is to compete with as well as to many updates on actual old-school runescape that you cannot possibly keep up with it so many bugs when adding and implementing just not worth it to me. I personally enjoy the 508-632 revision.

so code it so it reads the lowest amount offer like -5% is instant sell and +5% is instant buy? i will inform you this though by doing such a thing you will have to either A dump your prices from a different server or B make your economy extremely hard to obtain items and farm skills (the reason i say this is its been tried many of times it hurts the economy very bad due to skilling and prices. such as instead of actually trying to level up skills properly you instantly buy the stuff needed.) as far as that goes good luck and post errors if you run into any i will gladly show you a few tricks and tips when needed.

To be fair, he released on mopar moments after that stood for atleast 1 week, also the client itself was cool but you can do much better i am sure, it was very ugly imo (no offense to you at all) but it was blocky and just seemed off.

why not just rip particles from a different client, and for loading higher revision content there has been numerous tutorials on how to do so.

Did you work under a different name then? I had developed for Avalon my name was Jacobey in game and I'm sure under the files has my signature.

Well As of now the project i had been working on is put on hold due to computer changes (Lost some files...) so at this time i'm interested in seeing if there is a project up and going that i could join in on. I am skilled in java development ( i took classes, was taught hands on, studied it for 4 years) i have a lot of experience and motivation. I have a lot of experience inside of development although i will warn you i do not play rsps nor have i hosted before so as far as knowledge of players opinions i'm at -100 lol. but i can provide Properly written lines, files, statements and variables that are super clean and quick as well as efficient. One thing i do ask for is i will not be doing a pi base i refuse to work on them as i am not going to waste the time of re-writing every files until it is bug free and properly enabled. Either way let me know what kind of projects you are working on and what you can offer and if you need to see previous work i'll be more then glad to show you.

Personally this server is way outdated and not worth a damn anymore. but it was great for when it was created. the pking is okay but the formulas suck. either way you would't be able to pay me enough to work on something such as this.

I'll start it off by saying I have ran 2 successful RSPS's one back in 2012 that peaked at 500 players online and another one in 2015 that peaked to 120+. Running a private server is extremely difficult especially when competition is rampant (currently) and players are hard to come by. I recently closed an OSRS server due to lack of interest from players just because of the insane amount of OSRS based servers. They're almost all the same. I am currently working to re-work that server to distinguish itself from others.

Pretty cool, but your account viewing has no rights? or is it just no ranking icons? either way nice. ( i personally am so sick of this osrs style, i enjoyed coding it first few months, now everyone trying and just not worth the time or dedication..)

Well most higher revisions are leeched, or if not leeched i mean after what 667 becomes rs3. which is easy as hell now to level up anyways

well then your best bet is maybe possibly training to lvl 30 league accounts and selling, or something farming gold in a rsps and blackmarketing if it is allowed.
