Update Log: Halloween Event – The Pyre Rises,

Date: October 26, 2025 Category: Seasonal Event / Pet System / Rewards

New Pet: “Halloween pet”,

A new event pet has been added, obtainable during the Halloween event. This pet supports transmogrification , with seven unique variations available:

• Skeleton (2 variants),

• Pumpkin,

• Mini Grim,

• Bat,

• Spider,

• Ghost,

Sacrificial Pyre,

A new interactable structure, the Sacrificial Pyre , has been introduced.

• Players can offer items for a chance at rare event rewards , including:

  • Golden Scythe,

  • Golden Mask,

• The Pyre’s rewards are random, and can give nothing.,

• The Pyre also has a 1/100 chance to grant the Pet Grim .,

Pumpkin Search Activity,

Pumpkin patches have been updated throughout the event area.

• Searching pumpkins grants small XP rewards in:

  • Thieving,

  • Crafting,

• There is a rarer chance for XP in:

  • Fletching,

  • Agility,

  • Prayer,

• Pumpkins also have a rare chance to drop the Halloween pet.,

Pet Storage Integration,

• All Halloween rare items can now be stored directly with the Halloween Pet .,

• This allows for simplified event item management and retrieval,

Discord Event Integration,

Expanded event integration with Discord for improved community feedback and tracking:

• New automated messages for:

  • Rare drops,

  • Sacrificial Pyre rewards,

  • Pet,

These updates enhance the visibility and excitement of community-wide Halloween participation.

━ New Boss Encounter A new boss has arrived, with:

• Its own island area, entry hub, and sacrifice shrine that tracks deaths over time

• Iconic uniques (TBA)

• Charged/uncharged variants with proper charging, ammo, and combat effects

• A new pet with transmogs, plus mutagens to recolour certain gear

Also includes:

• New visuals, sounds, and music tied to the encounter

• Extra mobs in the surrounding area + new slayer integration

• A dedicated loot chest with flashy loot visuals

━ 🔥 New Minigame A new skilling/boss hybrid has been added:

• Boss health scales with player count

• Custom area with bank, supply pile, and tool spawns

• Many new items plus its own hiscores

• Fully integrated into the world event system alongside the new boss

━ 🌍 World & Atmosphere

• New instance island layouts

• A small town hub with a portal and intro NPC

• A sacrifice area with worshipping NPCs and a central statue that tracks deaths

• New fences and pathway from Barrows into the new region

━ ⚔️ Slayer, Events & Rewards

• Duradel and Nieve now assign a new slayer task

• New world event hooks for the boss and minigame (added to Boss Bonanza)

• A new set created and added to hard clue rewards

━ 💡 QoL & System Tweaks

• Only one death chest per player (no new chest if you still have an unlooted one)

• Certain grave scenarios no longer drop items on the floor

• Pets now persist correctly after recolouring

• Glow banker pet can’t be used in minigames

• Seasonal hiscore tracking added
