I was able to run Ascend just fine on Eclipse in a Windows Enviroment. I wanted to move it up to my debian server for testing away from my home. For some reason, I cannot get it to run.

 

Any suggestions are appreciated.

The server path as launched from eclipse is ethos.Server so aren't I to assume that the java command would be the same?

Have you made sure the ethos.Server with the same capitalization exists?
