Hey all,

Trying to run RSMod with an OSRS cache. I cloned RSMod from github https://github.com/Tomm0017/rsmod and followed all instructions. I was able to compile and run the server. Then I cloned OpenOSRS, the open version of Runelite. When running the client with the server running, I get "error_game_js5connect" after it begins to load with the red bar.

My question is has anyone seen this issue before? My end goal here is just to get an OSRS RSPS up and running for myself only, with as much OSRS content as possible to date. If anyone can help with either I would be very grateful.

Thank you!

Ever ran this error through "google"?
"error_game_js5connect"

It simply means it can't connect, ergo you're doing something wrong related to the connection.

First off, if you're looking for content, I can say from developing using this base that RS-Mod doesn't contain a whole lot of content. However with that said, it definitely makes up for a lack of content with how easy it is to add your own content through the plugin system. Check the log of the server-side ensuring that there are no compilation errors with any of the Kotlin-based plugins. Sometimes, depending on which cache you are using, a script will throw an error (NPC ID's are dumped into a file from the server depending on which cache you use). Some may be incompatible with the #181 release, which is RS-mod's most recent build.
