Any way to do this, other than editing the itemdef file? I've tried it before and it didn't work. Any file locations would be helpful. I don't know if it was a PI or a Ruse either

It would all depend on what source you are wanting to use. Itemdefs can typically be dumped as well, but you can also edit most with notepad or notepad++.

You can edit with notepad but i recommend you use Eclipse IDE
