WHAT IT IS

Rob Da Grave's Interface Editor is a Windows desktop workspace built for designing, inspecting, rebuilding, and integrating RuneScape private-server interfaces without hand-positioning every widget blindly. It keeps the interface list, complete selected-cache sprite library, live canvas, layers, properties, screenshot reconstruction, and real selected-cache model previews in one application.

REVISION COMPATIBILITY
PRIMARY TARGET: OSRS REVISION 184 / KRONOS-RUNELITE LINEAGE

Version 1.0.1 is built and verified primarily against GravesPK's OSRS revision 184 Kronos/RuneLite lineage. Its cache reader is designed for modern RuneLite/JS5 cache stores using reference-table protocols 5–7 and supports both IF1 and IF3 widget definitions.

Other modern revisions and custom forks: The editor may read compatible RuneLite/JS5 caches from nearby or later revisions when they use the same underlying formats. However, revision numbers alone do not guarantee compatibility. A differently modified client may require a matching import/export adapter, widget mapping, and an in-game test before its generated interface can be considered fully integrated.

WHAT VERSION 1.0.1 DOES NOT HANDLE

• Classic 317/377 interface formats: It does not currently open legacy interface.jag archives or classic RSInterface source-class interface systems.

• Guaranteed universal revision support: Universal 474, 508, 525, 562, 667, or every custom revision is not claimed. Many servers reuse revision numbers while changing their cache and client formats.

• Automatic client conversion: It does not automatically convert an entire interface system from one incompatible revision or client architecture into another.

• Automatic server-side behavior: Visual editing and generated client definitions do not automatically create server packet handlers, button actions, config handling, inventory containers, teleport logic, or other gameplay code.

• Automatic repair of missing assets: Missing, corrupt, encrypted, or server-specific sprites, models, fonts, and cache archives still need a valid source cache or a custom adapter.

• Guaranteed one-click screenshot cloning: Screenshot reconstruction is an assisted starting point. Complex interfaces still require review, alignment, correct asset selection, functional IDs, and an in-game test.

• Bundled proprietary game content: The application does not include a RuneScape cache, proprietary server source, or another developer's assets. It reads the cache selected by its owner.

BOTTOM LINE: If your project uses a modern Kronos/RuneLite-style JS5 cache close to the OSRS revision 184 lineage, this is the editor's strongest and verified use case. If you use a classic 317/377 client or a heavily modified custom cache, contact support with your client and cache format before purchasing.
