doombuggy 0
Hello! I think it's cool that we get to do introductions like this. It's been a while since I've needed to do anything at all to participate in a forum I like, so this is a nice change of pace. First off, the name I've chosen for myself is Doombuggy, and I'm 26 years old. Nothing too special about that, but I have been playing Runescape for a LONG time. I first created an account in early 2005, enjoyed the novelty of it, and have been playing it on and off since, well, today as a matter of fact. Around 2007 is when I heard about these Runescape private servers, where you could instantly level up all of your skills, spawn items, and get into PK'ing way faster than you would in the normal game. I remember downloading one of the moparscape clients and messing around in it. There wasn't much you could do, but you could run a world where you could control just about every aspect of the game, which I think is really neat. The first and only RSPS I've ever seriously played on was this strange one called BMXscape. I don't remember what it was based off of, but I know it was a 317 where you could spawn all items, change all of your skills, and PK in most places of the world, along with instant teleports to different areas that didn't require runes. It was all for fun, and most of it was just chatting with strangers and having an amazing time spawning gear and killing each other in all these random places way before PVP worlds were a thing. Eventually, they added more working skills and decreased the item spawn list to reflect the fact that smithing was a thing. If your smithing level was high enough, you could actually craft crystal shields and dragon armour with enchanted bars ( I don't remember how you acquired them anymore, but it wasn't mining!) Eventually, the guys stopped hosting it and I haven't been on a server like that since. I've never been able to get my friends to play Runescape with me, but I thought that if I could get into RSPS development, I could create and experience something like that again with them. Or, atleast, find a source and client that would be good enough to just chill with my friends on. I hope you enjoyed my introduction, and I plan on being somewhat active in the forum, as it seems to be really cool. Thanks! Doombuggy
