Hi, my names Grant, I'm 26 years old. I started playing Runescape when I was around 10 and have played on and off ever since then. When I was around 13 I started learning about the whole rsps thing and Ive always been interested in how games work and how they're made, Ive made a few attempts at learning how to program in things like Java even going so far as to attempt to learn general game development, Using things like the Unity game engine and Godot game engine. I basically understand the very basics things like data types, classes and I kind of understand inheritance (I think) but I really struggle to know what I should be trying to do to learn more as the resources that I found online are too complicated for me to understand so Ive created this account with the intention of learning through playing with something I enjoy, Runescape. So I hope you will be kind as I try to learn, thanks for reading my introduction.

Hey guys! I have always been interested in creating my own rsps and tried (leeched) a few times when I was younger but found it wasn't exactly what I expected, I was after actual programming not just data input, changing what characters sell and the name on the clients etc... I've found myself looking into the matter again, this time I'm 24 have finished uni having studied Comp Sci and Games, along with other courses in my past. I played OSRS for a while recently with a lot of friends until the fun ran out and I just decided I'd like to create my own server for us to use. I want to learn proper rsps development, I saw a great tutorial on it a while back, but sadly cannot find it now. But ideally I'd like to be able to create my own weapons and integrate them into the game, as well as new areas I have made, like ::gamble rooms etc... Not looking to publish anything that I create, just looking to learn by creating a RSPS for me and my buddies to enjoy locally. I have experience in several programming languages including Java and so hopefully will be able to pick it up eventually.

Hello my name is SugarLily. I am looking for something neat to put up as a new RSPS that I plan to hsot as long as I can using my own funds and donation funds if any. I have played RS since late january 2001 and still enjoy the game today. I just get bored sometimes and like to relax in a high rate rsps from time to time. Hopefully I can meet some neat people here and see some great contributions to the RSPS community.

Hello all! Or at least hello to anyone who would actually read any of these many samey intros. Dabbled in java before, rsps on occassion. I'm mostly here to curate an archive of sorts. The idea is to have cleaned, easy to run source & client bases for as many revisions as possible, this isn't to say that these will be feature complete just they are in a base runnable state with no custom content whatsoever. Then begins the process of slowly building these servers into accurate & faithful reproductions of rs at the time that revision was current. Obviously a huge undertaking that is far beyond my scope; my hope is to get the ball rolling for anyone wanting to get started in the fragmented mess that is rsps history. Hey everyone, i'm a 19 year old guy from Slovenia, got into coding a few years ago when I enrolled in a computer science high school, now i'm just chilling doing a bit of this&that, working part time as a js developer and waiting for college to start.
